Giving Back Through Cake

One of our proudest achievements was being named Corporate Volunteers of the Year by the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. For over five years, we've supported hospital staff and families, donating cakes each Christmas so that hardworking teams and children on the ward can enjoy a special festive treat Because sometimes a slice of cake can make a difficult day a little brighter.

Inspiring the Next Generation

We recently welcomed students from Gresham’s School for a behind-the-scenes look at life at Sponge. From marketing and business strategy to cake production and packaging, students gained real-world insight into how our award-winning cakes, brownies, and Cake Cards are made. Of course, no visit would be complete without taking home a box of freshly baked Brownies.

Supporting Local Businesses

We love collaborating with fellow Norfolk businesses. From helping celebrate Finisterre Holt's first birthday with free Sponge cakes for customers to partnering with Norfolk Uncovered business events, community connections are at the heart of what we do. Our signature Baby Sponges have become a favourite at local events, networking evenings, and celebrations across the county.

Bringing Joy to Our Team

Community starts at home too. Every Christmas we create magical moments for our team and their families, including festive celebrations, gifts, and even a visit from Santa himself. Naturally, there’s always plenty of cake involved.
